Looks good with tartan that have two main colors but also a third color is quite prominent.
Split Diamond + Single Marl
This style looks good with tartans with a third prominent color.
2 Color Split Diamond + Alternating Marl
This style looks great with tartan that has 3 equally prominent colors.
3 Color Split Diamond + Alternating Marl
This style is good for getting all the prominent colors of the tartan into the hose.
3 Color Split Diamond + Single Marl
This style looks great with busy tartans that have a lot of secondary colors on a busy tartan.

Double Long Cuff
This is a good option for little people who's legs are going to get a lot longer in the next two years. The foot length, however, can't be comfortably lengthened.
